Meet your guide

Meet Kayla, Your guide to rebuilding breath, balance, and ease.

I help people retrain how they breathe, hold tension, and move through the day.
By working with oral function and nervous system patterns, we create changes that support better sleep, less strain, and a more settled body over time.
 Her story

I didn’t just learn this work. I lived it.

My journey began long before Mind Body Myo existed  long before I understood what my body was trying to tell me.
 Her story

I didn’t just learn this work. I lived it.

I’ve always been fascinated by the body, particularly the face and the airway. There was a time, not so long ago, I didn’t realize or appreciate the intricate connection between these two parts.
What I’ve learned throughout my studies is the way we breathe and use our face muscles is vital in the design of a healthy, functional body. Until a few years ago, I experienced chronic fatigue, allergies and brain fog on a regular basis.
My relationship to my breath was limited but I had enough awareness to know I was mostly breathing through my mouth at night and would sometimes wake up frantically gasping for air. When I started practicing face, tongue and breathing exercises I was finally able to keep my lips sealed and nasal breathe throughout the night. My allergies waned, my sleep and energy levels improved and I was able to think more clearly. The benefits of re-patterning my muscles and breathing rippled out into every area of my life. The exercises strengthened my connection with my body, elevated my decision-making ability, intuition, communication with others and even enhanced my singing.
Through consistent daily practice, I was able to re-wire my brain and nervous system. I spent most of my life over-breathing and under-utilizing my face muscles and am still working towards optimal function. The progress I have made has brought me an immense amount of peace, calm and clarity. It is now my joy and passion to impart these benefits to those seeking support on their breathing and sleep journey.
 Client experiences

Jaw pain eases. Sleep improves. Anxiety feels more manageable.

Stories from people who committed to this work and experienced lasting shifts in their breath, body, and nervous system.
"Kayla is absolutely fantastic! I've seen her for a few months for my therapy and cannot be happier with results. No more dizziness, much less clenching at night, and no more jaw pain in the morning!"
Anna
"The exercises Kayla gives me are simple and make big differences. My head, neck, and jaw hurt much much less now. I sleep better and feel more rested. I can't believe the shift in how I look, too."
Susan
"At the baseline Kayla is a terrific teacher, but the sessions with her always felt like more than a class. Right from the start we would begin our sessions with some breath work for centering and focus, and I felt like she was holding space for me."
Clarke
"I worked with Kayla for over a year. I first met her as my myofunctional therapist and when that therapy was complete, i continued meeting with her for wellness coaching."
Danielle
"Kayla was great to work with! She helped me with myofunctional therapy and I appreciated her holistic approach."
